Three principles that govern every ranking
Every signal that influences ranking on CosmediCheck answers one of three questions. If a factor doesn’t answer at least one of them, it isn’t part of the system.
Are you a real, established professional?
This is the foundation. Every member of CosmediCheck has been independently verified for qualifications, training, insurance, and regulatory registrations where applicable. The signals that confirm this status (your verification, the treatments you offer, the ways clients can reach you) are how the platform recognises that you belong here in the first place.
Can clients confidently choose you?
Verification gets a professional onto the platform. What helps a client choose them is everything that lets a stranger evaluate their work. A clear bio. Honest reviews from past clients. A gallery of real results. A transparent price list. The professionals whose profiles answer a client’s questions before they have to ask are the ones clients book.
Are you actively investing in your presence?
A profile that was set up perfectly two years ago and hasn’t been touched since isn’t the same as a profile being maintained week to week. Reviews keep coming in. Galleries grow. Price lists get updated. The professionals putting genuine ongoing work into their CosmediCheck presence are the ones the system recognises, because that ongoing work is exactly what clients see when they land on the profile.

What influences your ranking
Your position in search results is shaped by a combination of factors. Here is what the system looks at, in rough order of impact.
Client reviews
The single strongest signal of whether you’re delivering for the people you treat. Both the number of approved reviews and the overall rating contribute. Reviews are the only factor that signals two things at once: confidence for clients choosing you, and active engagement on the platform. Our review integrity policies make sure only authentic feedback counts.
Profile health
Your Profile Health Score reflects how complete and useful your profile is to a potential client. The biggest contributors are your gallery (real images of your work), your price list (transparent costs and treatment descriptions), and a bio that genuinely explains who you are and how you work. Smaller factors include your treatments, contact details, and banner image. A complete profile signals to both the platform and to clients that you take your practice seriously.
Proximity
When a client searches with a location, distance is factored in. Nearby professionals are grouped together, and within each group the factors above determine the order. A highly-rated professional slightly further away can still appear before a closer professional with fewer reviews.
Expert status
Professionals who have earned Expert status receive a ranking boost in recognition of their qualifications, experience, and sustained client satisfaction. Expert status is awarded by CosmediCheck and cannot be purchased.

How to Read Results as a Client
When you search on CosmediCheck, results are sorted by “Recommended” by default. You’ll see the verified professionals who have the strongest profiles and the most genuine reviews, and if you’ve entered a location, the ones nearest to you.
You can change the sort order at any time using the “Sort by” dropdown to view results alphabetically, by distance, or by when a professional joined the platform.
Every professional in the search results has passed our full verification process, regardless of where they appear. Ranking position reflects profile quality and ongoing engagement, not verification status, which is held to the same standard for every member.
