Darryl is the founder of Darryl-Robert Aesthetics, Academy & Laser in Exeter - a multi-location practice combining advanced aesthetic treatments with industry education. As a CosmediCheck Expert, he’s recognised for raising professional and safety standards across the industry through his clinical work and training academy.
How did you first get into your industry?
I started from the ground up. I was a nursing home manager previously, before moving into the aesthetics world. I started with very few clients and grew the business from there.
What I really enjoy is the science and safety behind why we do what we do - why things are done the way they are. I’ve built a trusted brand based on client safety, assurance, and the science behind the treatments we provide.
What's your favourite thing about working in the industry?
For me, it’s the impact - the impact on how it makes people feel, how it makes people look, the confidence it can build. That changes everything.
I also love the academy side of things. I love building professionals, starting people out in the industry, and watching them flourish. As an accredited provider, we offer a pathway to business that includes audit-ready practice, mandatory training, business skills, and a strong safety focus. What's your favourite treatment to perform, and why?
My favourite is definitely facial harmonisation. It gives people the best version of themselves - subtle enhancements that restore confidence without being too much. That’s what I’m about: subtle, natural-looking results.
I also love skin treatments - anything facial, anything microneedling. Skin treatments are very important. Looking after our skin gives us a glow and builds inner confidence.
